this morning (memorial day) around 11 am i was pulling out of my driveway , located on state hwy26. and as i was waiting for traffic a general lee drives by   :o  my duster was parked in the street and i saw both driver and passneger give it a good look an then he rapped the pipes after he passed. i know that there are more generals out there these days than there are members on the board, but was just curious if it was any of you. i was also curious if this was one of those hlpag cars ,but it did look pretty good drivin by. i am only like 3 hours from them so it wouldnt be out of the question for one of there gems to be going by on its way up north (26 is a major n/s route). but from what ive heard most of there cars might be on a hook before they got this far.
I see alot of cool iorn go by here but a general lee is way up there. 30 seconds after i saw the gen i saw a bright ornge cougar eliminator go the other way. there were no shows in the area that i know of so i was shocked to see the 2 clasics that close together, going different ways.

I'm up in Milton WI every weekend.  I go up and down 26 all the time.  I had my Challenger media blasted out in Watertown.  Could see it for a while right off the highway there.

the band i run sound for played at the campground in milton sat night. verry good time, a bit hot. i believe we have 2 more shows there yet this summer.

my first full time job was at the welding shop that used to be by the media blaster there. i remember spinnin donuts in that building on the forklifts when i was 17. before it was the media blaster.

Theres a guy named Johnny that lives Janesville with a mint GL that he drives every weekend, it was probably him. I got pics somewhere from when he was over at my place with it last summer, I'll post them when I find them...

O/T but, if you're ever in Oconomowoc or at the Kilte for an ice cream and you see a light yellow 66 SS396 Chevelle, thats my old roommate Jeff :yesnod:  I did tons of work on that car back in the day.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kindergarten

Kindergarten (German for children's garden)

History

Friedrich Wilhelm August Fröbel officially opened the first Kindergarten in 1840 to mark the four hundredth anniversary of the invention of movable type by Gutenberg. It was founded at Bad Blankenburg, in the small principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, Germany, where Fröbel had opened a Play and Activity Institute in 1837.

The first kindergarten in the United States was founded in Columbus, Ohio by Louise Frankenberg, a student of Fröbel who came to the city in 1838. Another early kindergarten was established in 1856 by Margarethe (Margaretta) Meyer Schurz (wife of activist/statesman Carl Schurz), in Watertown, Dodge County, Wisconsin. It was run as a public institution beginning in 1873.

well last night the gen lee showed up at our cruse night, did not get a chance to chat with him , due to my broken foot i did not want to try to track the guy down, he was pointed out to me from a distance, seems to be a pretty young guy.  it is a pretty nice car, a solid driver with a couple small dingers here n there. its a 69 that appears to be a true R/T however im not an expert on 2nd gens. its auto counsole car and i also noticed a dukes fest 06 dash plack on the dash. hood wasnt up an i didnt even bother to look at the vin to see what engine it would have had. it got a lot of attention and im sure its a blast to own.  pic is from my camera phone with light from the wrong way but you get the idea.

TruckDriver

Yesterday afternoon about 4:30pm, I saw someone going north on hwy 164, 4 miles south of hwy 60 with a car trailer with a unrestored gunmetal grey '71 Super Bee. It had no hood or engine.
