Found a few accident shots.  Ack!

First, a motorcycle that ran into the back of a pick-up that pulled over to the side of the road on a hot August day.

A camper that managed to find black ice in November.

Gathering firewood.  (I didn't take this photo.)

One of our more morbid threads, I'd say... :o

So, LahTera, are you going for the overall post count title, or just the one-day record?  :icon_smile_big:  (j/k)

LahTera

Actually, was just going through pics on my computer and kept thinking you guys might wanna' view them.

The motorcycle shots have been used in court already (as well as my testimony).  <Sigh!>  The day I took the camper dumped over, we had a 7.9 earthquake that really rocked our world.  Tore up A LOT of roads up here and I was out taking pics of those and just happened to come across this camper truck.  Surely hope everyone survived!

The last one was sent to me by a friend.

And death is only morbid because that's what we've been raised to believe.   :icon_smile_wink:

However, I may just be heading toward an all-time record for me and posting here in a long while!

Mailman today siad he heard of snow in Whitehorse, B.C. That town is about 15 road miles away from where we live here in Alaska, not looking forward to seeing snow, thats all I've got to say, even though I make big bucks in the winter here from car accidents, I still say snow sucks!

Cop walked away with black eyes from the airbag after car hit tree FIVE FEET in the air (the circles on the tree shows where the wheel and quarter panel impacted it).   Yes, I have more pics of this crash...along with lots more from different crashes.

Hey man, don't scare her off! We don't hear from LahTera very often, and I don't need to remind you of our lack of women around here.  >:(

Oh come on, man, I was just jokin, you gotta know that by now.   I wasn't trying to scare anyone off.     I'm a smartass, it's what I do.   :icon_smile_big:   Either way, you gotta admit 80+ posts is impressive work for one day.   But I stand by my statement about this being a bit of a morbid topic.   But I'll contribute anyway... here's my firsthand proof that sleeping and driving don't mix.   Wear your seatbelts kids.

BTW, welcome LahTera    I don't think I ever saw you around at the old board.

I remember seeing that tree-crunched truck before, pretty funny!

BTW, I remember you from the old board LahTera...it's good to have you here.

I can add a couple I've found while surfing through the years. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

This is in Alaska.  The camper was north of Wasilla on the way to Willow, so about 80-100 miles north of Anchorage.

Great to see you, too!  Nope, no frost yet.  We're just getting intermittent rain ... it is cooling down a bit.  Two days ago it was 82 degrees.

Yeah, I have to say, I don't agree with air bags.  Up until air bags, car manufacturers tended to introduce what the racers used, and in this case, that would be 5-point racing harnesses.  Had they used those instead of tweaking with air bags, I believe a lot more lives would have been saved.  Air bags have been known to kill people, and having been a legal secretary for 12 years, I got to work on some of those cases.  Ack!  (By the way, I changed professional fields because I was so disgusted with the lack of justice up here!  Now I do computers ... much easier to fix than people.)

I dunno, but it sure would be a good one!!!  Notice how he's grinning?  Must be rich or sumfin'!

As for seatbelts, in 2 major car accidents, they were pretty much moot for protecting me, but I would still recommend wearing them.  On my last little spin out, it helped to keep me in my seat as the car swerved (more like jerked) from left to right as I attempted to bring it straight.  Imagine someone who can hardly reach the pedals in her Charger being jerked around ... very difficult to steer while trying to hold yourself in place with the steering wheel!  Thus, my rim is history.   :'(

First three are from when a friend of mine wrecked his 3000GT. He was actually going the opposite way from how the car is pointing in the first pic. No alcohol involved and he walked away...

These few are boosted from another site. <Link> This may have been posted on the old site but here it is again for those of you with sick and twisted minds like mine...

I found this one on one of my truck picture sites.

Those pics. of bloody cars and dead deerlook way too familiar..

A customer picked up his daughters car one day after a New York State Inspection. All good...  The next morning I pull into my parking lot and see the car is back and parked in the far parking area.  I open up the shop and grab the keys and notes from the drop box. (NO KEYS OR NOTE FOR HER CAR)....  Strange!!! So after feeding the dog and checking out a few cars I call the guy up at work. He says:  (CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT)?? What, I say.. (DIDN'T YOU LOOK AT THE CAR)?????  No... (YOU GO LOOK AND CALL ME BACK)...

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Back of the car was just as the factory made it.. That was all!! The front end and the interior were gone...... His daughter had turned onto Ridgeway Ave. from Elmgrove Rd.  (NOTHING BUT DEER TROUBLE)....  She pulled 3rd gear and doesn't remember anything after that.. She hit a buck, knocked him out and while flying through the windshield. It landed on her. She squeeeeeeeeezed out from under it and out the door. It came to and destroyed the interior of the car.. A deputy had to shoot it..

I've never seen anything like that before or since...  All that blood in that SUV looked familiar though!!!

Jeez, how the heck did that dear explode like that all over the whole inside of that vehicle?  Its like it just totally exploded.  That driver must have freaked out when that happened, if they weren't seriously injured.  I can't believe something like that is even possible if I hadn't of seen it.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

I think the ones with the deer were fake.

Its unlikely the driver survived to having a dear like that come through the windshield and out the other end of the vehicle right about where they would be sitting.
