I know there are several fellow Steeler fans on here. Looks like Ben will be ready for the start of the season. Broken jaw and nose. Missing teeth. He got lucky. Hope he rides after he retires. . .

Hopefully the crash knocked some sense into him and he'll start wearing a helmet...but I doubt it.

I was hoping K2's crash would knock some sense into his idiot father but that's too much to hope for.....

They said his knees are fine. A mild sprain and some road rash. It was just his face. The Steelers said he will be in training camp.

I was watching the local news and just caught the end of the story where they showed a picture of the wrecked bike.  I didn't catch the name of the player (all I heard was that he played football) so I figured he was from the Hamilton Tigercats of the CFL.

Then I started to think, how could a guy in the CFL afford a bike like that?   :shruggy:

Now it all makes sense.   :yesnod:

And I agree with Bull - who cares!   :nana:

I live in Texas and I am a HUGE Steeler fan. Been one every since Pittsburgh kicked their ass in the '70's. Also like kicking some Raider ass too! Their easy to beat up on. :devil:

Isn't it ironic that a man who wears a helmet at work for his job is stupid enough to go without while riding a bike?

considering that the major injury he has is a smashed face, if he had been wearing a helmet, he would be out banging superbowl whores instead of eating his meals through a straw for the next 8 weeks....

I'm from the Burg and I don't care. I am so sick of hearing about the Steelers I could puke.I was a big fan in the 70's but the team now isn't nearly as good as those teams.They took the helmet law off motorcycle riders a couple years ago in PA but by law you have to wear seatbelts in your car.Where is the logic in that?School Buses and Public transportation it is not required.Another intelligent decision there.
  All I can say is that I feel no pity for a stupid multi-millionaire who plays a kid's game for a living.And he didn't have a license to start with.The  one I feel sorry for is the lady who was driving the car.She will suffer the most.

I realize that going with no helmet may seem "cool" or whatever, but how cool is it to end up on the wrong side of the grass?  The helmet law and the seatbelt law, while viewed by many as government inrtusion into our lives, are government regs hat actually make sense.
