Crazy....I did see a thing about mathmatics and how easy it is to do certain "magic" tricks with certain formulas, but that doesn't explain three different right guesses.... ???

B5 Charger

That's creepy.  I tried four times and it got it right everytime.   :o

it's just math guys, for example, try doing 2 numbers at the same time, you will allways get the same result, even using 2 numbers at the same time, essentially playing 2 games at the same time, no matter what number you use it will allways yeild the same result, it's 100% predictable.  it's a pattern, look at the symbols.  now if it just said think of a # between 1-99, and then it would guess the number correctly 10 times in a row i'd be impressed!!!! :o ;D  that's beyond chance.  all that finite math from highschool is just a blur, remember when the teacher said, now class remember this, you can use it in real life!!!!!  i guess in a way he was right.!!!!

tipopiola

It guessed mine right 4 times in a row and everytime I ended up with a different number.  I don't see how it would be able to work either.  Crazy.  Tipopiola :icon_smile_big:

I just looked again and figured it out.  Pretty good trick though!  Tipopiola

I think the trick is that the number will always be divisible by 9 and they just give all of those numbers a different symbol every time to try and fool you.

ChargerBill

The ONLY option is the symbol they give you....all the other numbers and symbols are not even mathematical possibilities. All they do is change the symbol to match the same set of numbers on every guess.

0, 9, 18, 27, 36, 44, 45, 54, 69, 72, 81, 88 -  ONE of these will always be the correct answer...

Ok I see now.  Wow I feel like a real idiot for not figuring that out before.   :eyes:

:ahum: I get it, there is a pattern there.  :brickwall:     ???

Yep, no matter what two digits you pick the answer is always a multiple of the number 9.

I don't think 88 works, Bill.

No, it won't...seems like what they are doing is throwing the symbol in randomly with other numbers that won't work just to make the pattern less obvious.

Had this quiz before, this is how it works. No matter what number you pick to use(two digit),these are the possible outcoming number configurations......... 0 , 1 ,9,18,27,36,45,54,63,64,.72,78,and 81.As you see there are a couple of numbers that are not multiples of nine,so that theory is out.The symbol changes every time to throw you off ,but look at these numbers ,they will always have the same symbol. So not matter what you pick as your number,it will always come out because every possible outcome of number is there(with the same symbol).

Neal_J

Check your math, Chief.

No matter what two digit number you pick, the result will always be 9 times the first digit (for example, 34 or any other number in the thirties will be 27 (3 x 9 = 27)... 57 or anyother number in the fifties will always be 45 (5 X 9 = 45)).  Hence, the only possible results are the multiples of nine..   The site attempts to confuse you by presenting all the other numbers (all results other than multiples of 9 are impossible) and by rotating the symbols.

Pick any two numbers and check it out for yourself...22, 27 and 29 all result in 18 (2 x 9).

Ain't math grand?   :-*

You're correct Professor, when I checked all matching symbols they had two added in,64 and 78 to mix it up.

I was getting really freaked the hell out until you guys explained it.  neat trick.

Geez, I finally figured something out and it seems like I did not get any credit for it. :rotz: ;D
