my '89 Dakota Vert had a ministarter on it from the factory.  hmmmm.......  well that is what the original owner stated when I asked him.. maybe he is full of you know what?

just be sure to check the (mini) starter body to block clearance. i have read where some blocks don't have enough clearance and you need to shave the block or the starter body to get it to bolt up correctly.

i put one on my hemi and it bolted right up with out any trouble and i think i got it from a 90's model 318.

thanks very much and i am truley flattered :icon_smile_big: but as far as being the best, there are many that are alot better

now if i could ever get the bottom of hood repainted and back on the car i would be in pretty good shape, it's only been 2 years now ::)

i haven't personally used one in that application but i have never heard or read about anyone having problems. just be sure that they mount correctly and that there is enough clearance between the back side of the starter and the engine block.

the one i bought came from a local salvage yard and i gave $20.00 for it and it had a 30 day warrenty. a new starter from the parts store requires a core exchange and if you don't have it they tack a $25.00 core charge on the total price.

I had to shorten the large positive stud on both my ministarters so they wouldn't arc to the 440 blocks.  So far they are working great.
