Hey Troy

No I actually live closer to the fairgrounds than the hotel. Plus I figured it would be one more room for one of the other members.

No why would you ask such a question. You know Wayne drove out here and scouted for months to find this location. Boy was I embarrassed to find it 5 blocks from my house.  Just a coincidence I assure you. Truuuust me. Ha Ha

My house is starting to book up quick. yard space is about all I have left. I'll look around maybe the back deck or something. Of course the wife and child could have the couch or something. Wouldn't want to be mean or anything.

Kidding aside if you need anything give me a call.

When is everyone coming up? Wed or thurs or what?

The weather forecast is looking.  :yesnod:

I saw that too ..

Troy

Man, you guys have a lot to learn about Missouri weather...  NEVER believe the weatherman around here - you can make money betting on the opposite.

:P

Hope it's nice though - I just get antsy when they predict nice weather that far out.

694spdRT

Gene,

I am from Wisconsin....if you don't like the weather here just wait 5 minutes.  ;)

BTW: I saw it on the Weather Channel...surely must know what they are talking about.  ::)

Hey guys just came back from the fairgrounds. Was checking on the facilities. Other than the grass needing mowed, being done tomorrow, were looking good. It is a fairgrounds so it is not the hilton but it is big and has a large building and we should have a blast.

Hello Mike. I can't for Mopar John either. I will be attending with Wanda and the two kids. Will be re- confirming the reservations in two minutes. I will not bring my duty weapon. That will be one less thing I can use against the hotel manager if they cancelled my reservations.   Anyway; my charger is down with the crank thrust out of it. It should be back together in 2-3 weeks. Please postpone the show until I can make it there. :icon_smile_big: I feel for Mopar John, We will both be standing there naked......Wait a minute; thats a horrible mental picture. Forget that last statement. I will come armed with a camera to get new Ideas and looking forward to see everybody again. I will ask everyone I meet if they belong to this site. I can't wait any longer. I have to go dance a jig now. Later. :icon_smile_wink:
If it ain't wide open; it ain't running.        Rule number one in motocross racing: Pin it; row the gear box; and wait until you hit something.     At work my motto is: If you need me, call someone else.

Hey Mike,,
Since you're our Recon-man, is there anything around there to eat at or should we pack a lunch?...... Like at Boerne, there's little antique shops and little cafes......... Trying to plan ahead.. Also, any shade trees?.......................

BTW: I saw it on the Weather Channel...surely must know what they are talking about.  ::)

I'm a big Weather.com guy - I use them a LOT to figure out whether to pour (or keep pouring) concrete, and other weather-sensitive things related to the construction industry.  Around here, none of the weatherdudes are very accurate that far out.  In fact, it rarely ever works out the way they say it should.  Too much volatility in the midwestern weather patterns, and so much depends on whether the Jet Stream is to the north, south or smack-dab on top of this area (which changes from moment-to-moment also).

Just yesterday morning Weather.com and said it was going to be 85 for a high on Saturday.  Then last night - less than 12 hours later - a local TV station said 95 on Saturday.  Give it time, and they'll change their tune once again.  Conclusion?  They don't have a clue what Saturday's weather will be like until maybe Friday morning.  That's better than no idea at all, I suppose.

Gene,

I was agreeing with you on weather forcasters in my post. I have checked the Jefferson City forecast everyday for the last week and it has changed each day so that is what the  ::) was for.  Hoping for the best and going to be there either way.

Back Yard Burgers is setting up a cossession trailer ror us at the fairgrounds. Not much shade trees but we have a pavilion and a enclosed building with 4 large doors.

If you bring a canopy there will be plenty of grass to set it up.

Mopar or No Car!

Blue Pentastar

Hey guys just a quick note then I have got to get some sleep. We hit 161 Chargers today. We have had several cars that broke down right before or on the trip. So our numbers aren't where Wayne had hope but they are great anyway. Carl Cameron, Burt Boukamp sorry about the spelling on the names my mind is fried. Had a nice cruise today and enjoyed a nice sunny warm day.

Will post pictures as soon as possible next week.

Mike,

I can only imagine how much work you guys did to pull off an event the size of this one.

Although I wasn't able to make it for more than just Saturday, if what I experienced was any indication the whole meet would have been a spectacular time.  I had a great time for the few hours I was able to be there and wish it could have been more.  IMHO Charger guys are just the best!

Kudos on a smooth, enjoyable event - and many thanks for the time you invested to make it all happen!

That was the best car show that I have ever attended.  I did not get to bring a Charger to it this time, but I am planning on one of the shows next year (work permitting).  I finally got to meet Wayne, Red, and many other people that I have chatted with on the phone, but not face to face.  Chargerhound took me and a friend (a fellow MU grad student from Hungary who is now addicted to Chargers) on the cruise in his white 1971 Charger RT and it was a blast.  I took some pics also, but I have to get them developed first.  I wanted to say a big thank you to all who helped put the show on and a special thank you to Wayne for keeping TDC alive......

I just got back home from the meet. It was a great time and I would like to thank Wayne, Mike, and all of the other people that helped make the event possible. It was great to meet some of you guys for the first time and catch up with others. I hope to make it to another one or two next year.

I will be busy resizing over 100 photos from the weekend for awhile.
