Anybody know the name for this style of paint job?  It's so ugly and vintage that I kinda like it.  Anybody have picks of non rusted out cars with this style of paint?  Thanks in advance!

Yup!, That paint job belongs in the 70's.  ;D

It's another mysterious Watermelon Car! :o :icon_smile_big:

Geez, that poor Charger's got lots-o-rust. :-[

Notice the tach delete...on an R/T car. I'll never figure out why someone would not want a tach on a performance car. :ahum:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

sure is similar to the watermellon Daytona,...

  I like this quote

"The car is pretty much complete.  Just needs restoring and assembling."
oh, is that all?..   :yesnod:

that frame looks like toast to me...
and is this a R/T Serial Number?.. i'm not good with '70s.

Well, I would either call it fade or primer. Sort looks like the one I had stolen around 1979 but was a 383 Charger. Hum, not the right exhaust manafolid's and look's like around a 1974 engine. But what do I know?

Actually CF, it's a clock delete :P. The tic-toc-tach was optional on the R/T, while the clock was standard. Out of the 9K+ Charger R/T's, only around 3K had the tach option. The clock actually looked pretty cool in the cars, but they certainly weren't as nice as having the tic-toc. :yesnod:

That's a real cool car, but it has some serious rust. Too bad, but fixable.

Oh, you're absolutely right...I was just testing ya, good job!  :2thumbs: :smilielol:

That radio faceplate is a perfect candidate for a stereo swap too. ;)

I'm getting this error when trying to post pics using the attachment option. I'll try and figure it out. Just wanted to show a few more 70's paint jobs.
