How could somebody be so dumb to do something like that? Dumb enough just buying one and then try to make it like a "duke" car.

Just goes to show just cause somebody has money doesn't mean that they have brains.

I look at a new 300 just today and the back Q.P. is 2/3 plastic, like a toy , no wonder the gas tanks are now in the middle of the cars now and not the back, there is nothing there if it gets hit.

I don't care how many doors it has , until its all steel again I don't want it.

And don't anybody say they will never make them with all steel ever again, was told that 10-12 years ago when I said one day they will make rear wheel drive cars one day, hear everybody tell me no way, cause front wheel gets better milage.

The only way I'd intentionally give this car a second glance is if that bikini clad blonde in the pictorial/video washing the '69 General Lee was lathering it up....otherwise it's ready for the scrap heap.

Painting up that misbadged car as the General Lee only emphasizes how much they missed the mark by throwing Charger badges on it at the last minute.  But a lot of people are doing it.

Here's a question:

If the 2009-ish "Challenger" concept gets produced, will we start seeing GL paintjobs on THOSE? 
 

Laugh now, but I'll bet we see at least a few new Challys with rebel flags & door numbers by the time they've been at the dealerships for a few months.  The Challenger concept is more like the old GL than the 2006 "Charger," when you get right down to it.  And they're probably gonna offer the thing in bright orange paint right from the factory.

I think it's a great idea.  Dodge needs to get together with WB and make a licensed version to sell.  Can't you just see the ads?  "UNLEASH THE EXCITEMENT!!  The 2007 Dodge Charger SRT-8 6.1 Hemi Daytona General Lee Super Bee.  Because even the Duke boys have families."

Although, I do agree, use these for next years Dukesfest, instead of yet another 69.
