I have been given the remains of a 70 charger...It is pretty bare and the interesting part is that it has been resting on its roof for the last 20 years or so since it was driven down a steep embankment. I am working on getting it flipped back over to see if the roof has any life left. The rear window pillars are solid but there it lays. i will try to get some pics soon. It is yellow with a black vinyl roof and had some cool pinstripes down the side. the odometer says 1251 miles. I am going to assess it for what parts I need. If the roof is solid, the rest of the car should good. the frame rails and floors are exposed and they are totally solid. It is sitting at the bottom of a hill in a hollow with a creek running right next to the charger. If the roof is solid, I think it will be time for a resto and since I am new here, I can use all the help and advise/suggestions you all have. From what I can tell, the engine/drivetrain, interior and all of the glass is gone...it is literally an "upside down" shell right now.

Hope you can save it back to life!

oh yeah!! i have to wait until saturday to go out on the guy's property. It is definitely interesting...I brought the passenger side light cover home on my first trip...It's laying brake drums up and the doors are both open...the interior used to be black, the guy said that it has been sitting there for 20 years (?!) He said that if he had known it was there years ago, he would have saved it then. promise on picks as soon as I can.

:o I would kill to see pics of that car just as you described it. Amazing what is still laying around out there.

Good Luck trying to grab as much as possible.

If it's not too much trouble, could you possibly send me a picture of the VIN number? I would ask for the Fender Tag as well, but I kinda doubt that is still on the car. Any info would be much appreciated. admin@1970chargerregistry.com

I will try to get pics before we move it. If the fender tag and/or VIN is still there, I will get them for you!!!  :icon_smile_big:

I am hoping that the roof is intact as it appears. The floors in the car are really solid(even being up in the air)...I will get some VERY accurate pics for you all. I already know that this thing is going to need mucho work....It is like starting with a fresh canvas...I mean, even the dif is missing...drive links are gone...need to start over...maybe I will change the front clip and make it look like a 69....who knows...
