Well, since I drove half way across the country I might as well post some pics to prove I was actually there. :D

First, Chargers (of course!)

Only a few wing cars and I don't think I ever got any good pics - too many people in too small of a space.

Wow. Nice turnout. Did you look at the tag on that Hemi '69 to see if it was an original triple black four speed? The mother lode to me would be a '68 Hemi R/T 4spd original double black. Just like most people I guess.

Looks as tho it was warm that day.  ;)

I love this car!!!

Holy Crap  :o thats about 3 times the amount of cars that were there last year......

That's what I was gonna say!

Hey Paul, did you notice Ron's car. You met him at the picnic last year. He has the Maroon and Silver first gen. I forget if it is a 66 or 67. I don't know first gens that well. Looks like they put Torque Thrusts on the car. I don't remember if they were on the car last year.

To be honest, it was so crowded and the cars were so close that I really didn't have a lot of time to do any real inspection of most of the cars. It took about 15 minutes just to get those 3 pictures of the black Hemi Charger (you can see the reflection of the people in the side shot as I snapped the pic as they were walking towards me). It had drag tires on the back but not much looked like it had been changed from stock.

4402tuff4u: no, it wasn't a stripe delete car but I had to take most of the pictures from almost directly in front or back because of the way they parked the cars. He was backed up to the wall of the track so I couldn't really get around it. Here's the other 2 pics I got of it.

Thanks for the pictures Troy.

The '69 Hemi Charger looks to be right out of the mid 70's with the aluminum slots and Widetrack Super 60's. Did it have a fender tag?

That turbine bronze '68 (i belive it was called...) looks like the '68 Scat Pack "The Cars with the Bumble Bee stripes" Cover Car. Any way to tell?..
Interesting that 4x Black Hemi Cuda... you should do yours like that.  :icon_smile_wink:
Great Pics!

I know the owner of the "triple black" 69' hemi.  Its got the fender tag that indicates it was originally a T7 bronze car as well as a bunch of the original T7 still in the trunk.  It was painted black in the early 70's.  Its definitely old paint and very sunbaked and starting to peel, but I think it makes it look even tougher.  You even caught me in the pic that 472 R/T SE pointed out of the 4x black 71' cuda with the license plate "distrbd" or at least my sexy back side.  It was a huge show!  I went all day Saturday and figured that would be enough, but then my wife wanted to go on Sunday so I took advantage of that.  It really makes you wonder though, if there are soooo many nice mopars around here, how come I never see em' driving around?  Awesome pics!  Tipopiola

I've seen that car too. I saw it the first time he brought it to Anoka for the cruise night last year. My cousin's childhood friend Gary was riding shotgun. The guy that owns it had that car sitting for about 16-18 years and decided he wanted to get it going. He was smart and pulled the 426 and had it gone over. Tipopiola is correct. Originally a Bronze. Last year he said he was going to paint it the original color. Don't know if his plans have changed yet. Hopefully I will see him again at Anoka this year.
