Is A LOT frustating to see how the 2006 Chagnum is being produced as a die cast model BUT NOT a 73/74 Rallye. I want to make a scale model matching with my 74 :(

Someone is probably helping out in some way with licensing or outright cash up front to produce the other thing for promotional purposes.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

i wish there were more diecast models of 68s.  the friggin general lee made 69s so popular that its usually the only year charger with tons of models....kinda sucks for us with 68s

As I've said in other threads, I really am stunned that there's no 1/18 scale 1971 Chargers. They have a great shape, and epitomise the 70's look.

Try having a 67 Barracuda notchback.

The only 67 Barracuda diecasts they make are 1/64th scale fastbacks, and they don't make a diecast notchback at all.

That's incredibly good news. I visited the link you gave at diecastmuscle.com and it was great to see.

What is the quality of their models like ? We don't get them here in Australia so I'll be looking at getting one mailed over. Are they good quality?

I have an old MPC 1/24 kit called the Super Charger. It's a street machine style kit based on a 73 or 74 Charger. That's the best I can tell you to look for. No other kits come to mind, save maybe for an original factory promotional.

I don't care if is a Diecast model or those plastic to join with glue... but one thing is sure... stock looks, no those with GIANT WEELS or stuff like that.

In fact I think chargerkid have some similar at his website, but they are SE as my memory reminds.

Years ago, (early 80's) I had a huge MPC Charger model (I think it was called Street Charger?) and I think it was a 71. It might have been a 73/4, but I seem to remember the tailights were more like 71? It was in 1/16 scale I believe. Anyone remember this one? You might try ebay...

AMT has the plastic 71 kit, and it's 1/25th scale.

Those are 1/24 1/25 scale cars, that is the second biggist size, then there is 1/18 the biggist ones.

I am trying to stop buying these damn things  :rotz: :rotz:

Your right, there is not much in 68 charger models, just the Dick Landy race car, if you can find it.

But there was some good 1/18 diecast.

And Nacho, I have at least 20, 71 to 73 Charger's in 1/64 size, the picture below has some, but I have
bought more since I took this picture, they are the bottom 2 to 3 rows.

But still the same problem... all 73/74 I have looked at your pics are SEs, not hardtops/coupes

Here's my Bullitt Charger. I had to put it all together as a model (ages 10+ so I could handle it) and then it's finished off with the metal body. My girls modified it by removing the steering wheel. :P

Do you have any 73 or 74 SE pics. Who makes them?

I've got the Bullit model myself although I got it when it first came out years ago. For some reason I didn't want it black anymore so I repainted it... and not that well either....  :-[

THIS is a great item... something like this is what I want... but throught a national hobbyes dealer, not ebay.

Is not a Rallye since is not bulged hood, and is not 74 since doesn't have the hanging out shoulder seatbelt, but those are easy to make... bulge with some bondo or fiberglass..., even epoxy glue and seatbelt with any piece of black cloth

Edited...Oh well it coulld be a 74 since does it have the larger bumper guards cushion and non grilles on hood :D, just without the seatbelt hehehe.

You will pay big money for THOSE cars, that is a Promo model that came out the year the car was built ''74'' as
a play thing basically. That is not a bad price actually, a 68 in that condition would be over $400 for sure. I have a
few, I am looking for the gold 68 Promo, Ebay is about the only place you will find a Promo Model, I see them at
toy fairs here in the US, you might look over there you might get lucky  :icon_smile_big:
