Headlight door bumpers?

Well I have a 1970 Charger and on each headlight door there are 2 small bumpers for open and closed position. I ordered "OER's K-2785824" bumpers and I can't get the darn things to fit the mounting holes on the door. It's like the rubber is too hard or the nub is too big?
Has anyone been down this road and found a trick? I'd hate to drill the hole larger if there is some other way. :scratchchin:

know idea what it looks like no offence,

normally with that kind thing if its what i'm thinking off i use a combination  warming up the rubber a little ( warning if your not use to doing this its easy to damage / destroy / bubble the rubber)

& smearing the nub thingy & hole with grease.

also with a combination of above use a very small flat blade  screwdriver to poke a tiny part of the nub through the hole to get is started ,then if you can get to the back side try pulling it through by gripping the nub with pliers same time other had  push down  on bumper in a twisting motion ,
*******warning  be carefull  dont stab your self with the screwdriver :icon_smile_blackeye:  & or pull to hard with pliers & snap the nub off  :o

Thanks, I cut the pointed hook off a dental tool leaving a short rod extending from a pencil size tool. It helped hold the bumper in place but no effect in starting the nub into the hole.
Being the lower bumper the location is part of the puzzle! I'll look for a tiny punch tool to try.  :scratchchin:

A 1/16th punch just blows the tip off and passes through the rubber. I suspect the factory used a very soft/pliable rubber compound and this part is almost hard like "poly". I've ordered 1/4 hex based drill bits to reach in and enlarge the hole.  :scratchchin:

Bummer sorry to hear this  did not work for you  :brickwall:  ,think by  now  i would have had enough &  shaved the sides of the nub a little with a sharp blade so it fits in the hole for location , then stick them with black  pu sealer / windshield glue

I considered that but don't want to weaken the mounting. I have 4 but the 2 that have survived in place are staying. This is the last tiny detail on the car to finish repairs.
