My 70 Charger project
A couple weeks ago I was picking up some restoration parts from National Moparts in Beaverton
I brought some extra cash with me just in case I saw something
Picked up a new carpet and headliner and a couple other small things
Guy behind the counter said was there anything else I needed ?
Like a smart ass I said did you have a pistol grip shifter for a console car ?
Just a minute he said and clicked a few buttons on the computer then left the room and came back with one
Well after holding it in my hands for a few minutes I figured it might as well come home with me too

I had been keeping an eye open for one but was never fast enough when one did turn up
I already had a bench seat version in my car so now I need to figure out the console part of it

My car was a project when I bought it and only the back console mount was installed in the car

So my question is did a console car use the same middle bracket for 4 speed vs automatic set up to mount the console ?

These are the only parts I have at the moment and do not know if they had to modify the middle bracket for clearance or was it a different piece all together ?4 6 04 02 2025.jpg4 5 04 02 2025.jpg4 4 04 02 2025.jpg4 3 04 02 2025.jpg4 1 04 02 2025.jpg4 3 04 02 2025.jpg

The middle mount is just sitting where I could get it to stay to take the picture  I think it would have been farther ahead originally
Figured I could just mount the 2 brackets that are left to the console and then line it up with the third one that is already in the car to get the location of the other two

You can see in the last picture I posted there is one more bracket laying on the floor that matched the same colour as the not welded on brackets yet
It is an extra back bracket so looking at the old thread it looks like I might be able to use it for the middle location bracket
