wont start

well Ive just started having this problem, battery is fully charged, got gas and it cranks but wont start. My NSswitch is working. I had it started today actually and it ran for a bit, then it started raining and I shut it off and after taking 1/2hr break went outside again to start it without luck. Ive got MSD blaster 2 coil, mallory hi=fire digital box, new Moroso plug wires. It just wont fire, im lost. Im not good with electronics too so Im out of luck.

Did you check for a spark? The auto stores have a plug that looks like a spark plug but has a clip on the side that goes to ground, you hook one wire up and then crank it over and see if its firing. If its not check if you have a loose wire or a bad ground. I know there is a way to check the msd boxes but not sure about Mallory, I think there is a # you can call. Once in a while the pick up coil in the dist. goes bad, not as often as points but they do break down .Sounds like a good set up, wish I could be more helpful.

What distribuitor you have ? Is very tipical sympthom (sp ?) get oftenly running engine but as far you have throtles opened, and once you try to get back at idle then engine stops. That is a very tipical pick up coil bad function.

About same related fail, is also very tipical dist pick up coil plug loosen or bad contacting.

I had it running when i picked it up from trans shop and it was running and then just suddenly died while just sitting by the house in Park. distributor is stock disty

Check for spark...and make sure it's a nice big spark, not a short wimpy one.
If there's no spark, check your connections & make sure everything's tight, and that there's no signs of moisture in them. Make sure you've got power to the HyFire with your key on.

stuff simply gets damage suddenly specially electronics without advise.

check the plug at the dist , also pull the dist cap & check the gap between the pick up & reluctor , it should be .008 , also check for moisture under the cap

Rubber L shaped plug with male and female bullet kind terminals... is the plug with the two wires that enter in to dist.

Ive figured out with FastbackJon's help that I had bad contact somewhere (most likely) so Mallory box wasnt getting juice and thats why it wouldnt start
