I just ran my 505 Stroker the other day. It did ok, but I ran out of valve spring at about 5700 rpm, and started to get valve float.

What I have for specs
440 source stroker kit, ultralight crank
10.8:1 compression, only 180 lbs cranking pressure though.
Trickflow 240 heads
Harland sharp 1.6 rockers
The cam is a Lunati 30230743 solid flat tappet, which specs out at .586/.606( with a 1.5 rocker) and 288/296 advertised duration, at .050 its 259/267.

We had a few issues with the dyno. First try, the rollers on my harland sharp rockers didnt roll on 3 rockers, and were starting to eat into the valve tips. So we aborted after the cam break in.

After that, we tore it back down to the shortblock to check, and add the inner springs. Once Harland sharp finished with the warranty (they were awesome to deal with by the way), we ran it again.

First runs were with mopar m1 single plane, and it didnt like it. We switched to an edelbrock rpm performer, and it gained 4 hp, and 22 ft pounds of torque.

After 17 pulls, we hit our best with 613.1 ft lbs at 4200rpm, and 613.8 hp at 5700, but it started to break up above that.

Im currently working with trickflow and PAC to try to figure out what springs i should run, but if any of you guys have ideas, i will listen!

Another odd thing we found was with the holley sniper. When we put on the dual plane intake, the passenger side was running very lean, so we swapped the o2 sensor to the passenger side. It picked up 16 hp and 24 ft lbs from moving it over, and then the engine ran much better. So i guess i am moving it over to the passenger side in the car!!

Ive got pictures of the dyno sheet and a few videos, but have to size them down to post and i am only on my phone.

What lobe sep is it ground on and what installed centerline?

Was the HP still climbing before valve float ?

110 lobe seperation, 106 installed.

It sucks, they discontinued this cam now. Sounds good, but i do wonder if i shouldnt have gone bigger.
