Or do you know of someone who has it? Have they ever had to use it? Did it work? Can it be used on any vehicle such as our old Chargers?

I have it on my Grand National, along with the Early Warning System.  Both will be transferred over to my Charger when I sell the GN.   Another option is a real time GPS where you can log onto a PC and see where your car is exactly at any time, but it's $10 a month.  KoJack is one shot deal.    All can be used with our cars, but it's harder to hide since there's not alot of crap under our dashes and hoods.  If you DO get LoJack, don't advertise it as you don't want the thief to defeat it.

LoJack is a great system if the police in your area have and use the equipment needed to recover your car so check with them first.

LoJack can be installed in anything.
Even construction equipment that can be easily stolen have it installed.

Keep in mind LoJack is a theft recovery system not a theft deterrent.

Basic device is under $800. there are other option you can get which will increase the price.

The best thing to do is call them and talk to them about it

They will even send out an installer to your location so you can have it done while you work. Just like getting your windshield replaced. The box is about the size of a pack of playing cards.

Also talk to your insurance company to see if you can get a discount on your insurance, it may just pay for itself in two or so years.

I wouldn't really like the fact that someone could always see where I am whenever they want to. Not that I have anything to hide, just that feeling gives me the creeps. I believe we are controlled enough as it is. I believe more in car security, if you make it the thiefs hard enough to steal it they will much rather move on to another one that is easier to steal.

So, I looked for a LOJACK system for my car.  The site has been posted here several times.  BUT,,, On their site There was one place that said they ae no longer accepting orders for new installation! Anyone got one lately.  Seems they only want to work with newer cars with built in GPS.  What do you guys recommend now? My car will attract a lot of attention and will be a target of the thieves so I need something.  Plan on some manual cutouts, but someone could still steal it by hauling it off or towing it.

There are many "tracker" options on Amazon try there.  :2thumbs:

A couple of years ago, a friend (yes Greg, a friend) bought a used 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and a few months later it was stolen from his driveway. He reported it to the cops and the next day they informed him it had been found. Turns out it was located because the truck had LoJack that he didn't even know it had.

I always thought the owner had to inform the LoJack recovery people but the cops can do it too.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
