So is anyone making a replacement that works yet ?
What kind of wire do they use , on originals , for the "wrappings" ? Even the wire from the stud to the unit seems different .

Members here said this shop can calibrate the pickup correctly:  https://www.antiqueinstrument.com/  The key issue seems to be the winding strip must be hour glass shaped correctly. Many are not.

I used a "sending unit adapter" and adjusted to sort of okay but am thinking of mailing my old one to them.
