metal nose cones, still available?

I remember someone was remaking the metal nosecones a while back and I waited, thinking I could grab one later.  My 68 project is almost done, and I'm starting to get ready to start working on my Daytona clone.  Is anyone making these now?  I know I can use Janek's fiberglass, but if I can round up  metal one, I'd prefer to go that route.

Daytona R/T SE

Gean Gregory was the person having the steel Daytona Nose cone parts stamped.

His last batch was made several (maybe 10?) years ago.

I bought out his remaining stock of parts back in 2018 after he sold his shop and retired.

From 2018 to early 2023, I was selling the nose cones and a few other parts that Gean made.

Other than a couple of nose cones and few other items I kept for my own projects,

They're gone.

Gean passed away several months ago, His tooling has been scrapped, so unless someone else tools up to have more Nose cone parts stamped (Expensive and therefore highly unlikely for such a limited market) ...

The party is over.

I'm not surprised, thanks for the information.

There's a Canadian gent (Brian) making steel nosecones, your looking at $5k+ last I recall, if your interested?, I'll post his info, as far as VMW's nosecone you'll be bending over more, dollar wise for a steel nosecone...

Interesting thread indeed.
To hear that Gean Gregory has passed and he didn't leave the moulds for future use is sad!

I have recently found a very rusty 69 Charger that would make a good Daytona clone BUT...
What are the chances of finding all the rare parts to make one even with fibreglass?

Looks like it is getting close to the end of Dayclonaring is upon us... :popcrn:

I went down to meet Gean and pick up one of the last pieces he had for my Bird.   Gean and I talked for hours about cars and his business.   He tried to sell the machinery over and over but every offer was a slap in the face for him.    He was very passionate on what he did and he wasn't going to give it away.   Gean was a wealth of knowledge and it's sad he has left us.
My name is Mike and I'm a Moparholic!

Years ago I saw a limelight bird just outside of Warroad, MN with one of his noses on it. I was impressed to say the least!

Gary does some AMAZING work !

Yes he does. I've never met him in person but I'd like to go and see him once he gets his new shop up and running. He's only about 1/2 an hour from me now.

I'm about 20 min south of Owen Sound and Gary is about 45 min south east of Owen Sound or an hour west of Barrie.
