Cam and Carb selection for a 440

I was wondering what everyones recommendations would be for a cam and carb setup for a 440 I am building.  It will be going into a 71 charger with a 3.91 rear, auto trans.  The engine is .30 over with stock heads, rods and 9.5 forged speed pro pistons.  Have not determined the stall yet for the converter.  May use a converter out of a 69 440 6pack.

Want to be able to use the car as a daily driver and some occasional grudge racing at the local 1/4 mile track.  Will be using basically stock radials 60s series.

I talked to a company called Rhodes and they have some interesting profiles on their cams but are pricey.  Comp has some nice kits that include most of the valvetrain and of course there are the Chrysler selections.  Too many choices.

I was thinking that a 750 cfm should work well for the carb but use a Holley, Demon, Edelbrock???

Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

I just rebuilt my 440. I run a Torker II intake with a Speed Demon 850 carb. I am running a Lunati cam. Duration is 230*/230* @ .050. Gross lift is .480/.480. You are supposed to run a stall converter with this cam. I am running the TCI Street Fighter 10" converter. Stall is rated at 3,000-3,500. My block is punched .040 over and I run flat top pistons, 915 heads with 2.08 / 1.74 valves. Still breaking it in. I can tell it is going to be nice, but I think I should have gone with a 2400-2800 stall because I do drive it on the street in the summer a bit.

For a 440 you really need 850 CFM , I would use a Holley or Proform or Demon carb , getting the right carb is critical
if you want a Hyd cam I use the Engle grinds , they work great , if you want Solid I use Engle or Ultradyne cams

Thanks for the information.  It seems that there are as many carb choices today as there are cams.

I am running an Engle K56 can which is 224* @ .050 with .504" lift
I also have a750 vac secondary Holley.  I am quite pleased with its performance in my 440
