Picture needed where kick panel meets dash

I'm having a heck of a time getting the kick panels in place. I think the bottom of the frame next to the A pillar needs some tweaking. Does the kick panel slide between car frame and dash frame?

I think the kick panel sits on the pinch weld all the way up as far as they reach

Yeah it does go all the way up, but I can't get the kick panel to slide between the pinch weld and the dash frame. I'm not sure if something is bent or not.
