 crikey ! prices have gone a bit nutts, this one below  & in the link is more than four times what i paid for my NOS locking gas cap, but what you going to do original is original ! repop is repop .
 still not / never did put it on got it out of the box  a few times  but could not bring my self to open the sealed bag

I wanted mine because I drove my car a lot and parked it wherever
The gas caps are so fun on these cars when they pop open and I just did not want anyone dropping anything in my tank
If my gas cap was behind my lisence plate I do not think I would bother with one

I added one partially because my car was optioned with one, and partially because I was going to a lot of car shows. People would open the cap often. I could just imagine some asshole dropping something in there.

I've heard more than once that these things are fragile & sometimes break while inside the filler tube. That worries me more than not having one because I actually had one that was broken & stuck inside a filler tube on a parts car or a tube I had bought at a swap meet years ago. What a pain it was to remove. 

Too bad a lock on the hinged cap wasn't how it worked.

My car has always had one. I like that option.
As mentioned. I have walked back to my car back on several occasions ovwr the years at car shows and it has been popped up by someone.
