Engine colour?

So my 69 charger is very much a survivor, with the numbers matching 318 and 904 transmission still in place.
The engine codes out at being cast in Feb 69, and the engine was assembled tge 3rd day of March 69.
There is a bit of paint remaining on the engine in places, and it is turquoise.
I always thought that 318's were red in that era, but of course I could be wrong, or the engine could have been repainted at some point but it appears that the only colour on it is blue.
 
What would be the correct factory engine colour for a 69 318 built in March?
