What's the reason told by Chrysler (or Stellantis) to stop the Challenger and Chagnum production? Low sales? Economical? Ecological?

As far I know they have keep on good sales rate since the beginning!

That platform was a key reason Chrysler bought out American Motors long ago. Joint venture development with others created a 2 or 4 door, 2 or 4 wheel drive multi purpose platform that has just now become obsolete.

JB400

The LX platform doesn't allow electrification, and probably can't accomodate the new Hurricane 6 twin turbo, economically. Thus, new platform, new engine with better emissions, and new styling.

Yeah, the EV shift is the main cause.

A sedan platform is a long-term investment.  They have to focus on what will be commercially viable in the 2030s.

The LX platform has been produced in huge numbers and it is ancient for a modern vehicle.  It was a old enough for a clean-slate redesign 10 years ago, never mind now.  Modern teenagers look at an LX Charger the way we used to look at Ford Crown Vics.  They can't remember a world without it.

Baby boomers have dominated the vehicle buyer pool for decades but that era is ending.  People in their 70s-80s don't replace cars as often as younger people do.  They retire from daily commutes and their lifestyle slows down.
