Anyone have starter problems with using TTI Headers

My starter is getting hot from the headers being to close. The starter get hot to a point where the car barley cranks over. I rapped the Headers over the winter but does not help. The Starter is new, the battery is new and all wiring is good. I check the starter temp after a drive and the starter was 300 degrees F.

A factory type starter or a mini starter ?

Would a mini starter give a little more space and run cooler ?

Never had a mini so just a thought
