I saw this "exceptionally nicely restored" Superbird on Thursday night. Its B5 originally. This car was a disaster. The quarters, and much more I imagine, were replaced very poorly. The wheel wells were at least 3 inches flared out and had so much bond in them they looked like adobe. The firewall being black was the least of its problems. It looks like the engine hasn't been cleaned in a few decades and the interior was super dirty. I was floored when I saw what it sold for, someone is dancing all the way to the bank on that one. That car needed a total resto and it would be a really expensive one at that.

Yes.. 4 posts up I posted it's sale price about 5 minutes after the hammer came down. $145k + 10%

Jump to 2019.  Looks like it sold again.  $107,500 on 10/26/2019.  I didn't search for other threads on this VIN, but at least I wanted to update this thread.

My, my, junk sells. Is it the "Flush with Cash" crowd or just uninformed wealthy?

Should have bought our 70 Hemi Cuda 4-spd back after it was rolled into a ball. Could have put it up for auction and made big bucks.
