i have an edelbrock 1406 carb and i cannot get the 4brl to kick in does anyone know how to adjust the linkage on the side to make them kick in

fixed it needed a spacer

I know this is old but I have to ask, what kind of spacer? You mean under the carb?

I am having the same problem and have the same setup.  I am going to pull the carb this weekend so I am not sure what my issue is.  i bought the car this way so i am not sure what i am going to find.

you need to make sure the throttle plates can phisically open without hitting the intake & binding ,
