Hi all,

Tried the search function but I cant find anything..

I installed the grill without the doors mounted. The Vacuum actuators were busted and I didnt need working doors to pass inspection. Now I made my own electric conversion and I want to install them. However it seems impossible to do so with the grill in the car.

Is my assessment right and do I need to take the grill out? Or is there a near trick that you Mopar guru's can teach me?

Thanks!

It would be tricky, but doable. I would be concerned with the old brittle plastic that you might stress a little by doing it this way.

The door is mounted on the rod that connects to the vacuum pod, and pivots on 1 nubs on each side of the end pieces of the grille. The pivots should have some type of retainer on them, that might be tricky to install with everything mounted.

Perhaps removing the headlights will ease the installation.
