Clock only works when headlight switch is on

Had my dash restored by Totally Auto(now retired)
Clock only works when I turn on the headlight switch
What did they do cross the wires somewhere???

Sure sounds like the clock is now getting power via the dash light circuit.  Obviously it needs non switched power!   Should be relatively easy to chase down and fix.

Sounds like somebody has used the orange light wire as a power source for the clock. IIRC, the non-switched power for the clock is a gray wire.
