mystery hole

Any ideas on what this hole is for it's on the inner guard R/H side it's the one in  between the 3 double pleats

It will be for either the sound deadener that goes on the firewall from the inside the car or one of the mount holes for the heater A/C box to mount to the firewall ?

nope it's not for the deadener as they have a counter sink hole for the plastic nails they are the ones you can see above and to the side of that hole and the ac/heater box doesn't mount there either it's to far right. it's not a small 1/8 screw hole either it's larger i was wondering maybe it's a retainer clip hole for the antenna cable I'm not sure which route that cable takes either. thanks for your reply anyway sublime i always appreciate your input

my 68, your antenna is correct ,

The antenna cable clips on top of the lower dash frame under the glove box to get across to the radio

For power trunk vacuum line. Runs from engine to the switch inside the glove box. Only had one that had this option. Parted out in the late 80's.

no ,  thats  the cold air out side air ducting  cover , for the ac heaterbox  

think your mystery hole has been  previous owner added for some reason some time in the past  , from the picture looks to have been drilled out side in , because the ac heaterbox was in place
