Seam sealer/ firewall cowl question

Hey guys,

I'm getting close to putting my firewall and cowl back on my 71 Charger. I know between the firewall, and the top of the cowl there used to be that foam gaskets welded in between to seal the seam. Clearly thats not an option anymore. What would you guys use / do here? Is there a weld through seam sealer that would work with a mig? Would you skip it? What can I do?
