I'm finishing up the sunroof on my charger and I'm having a problem with the slider closing all the way.The headliner panel for the sunroof slider does it go in the lower channel or the upper.I have it in the lower channel now and the slider wont close all the way.It appears the headliner panel is clipped in place, the interior panel bows down and it is hitting the cable corners when trying to close.Any help with this will be greatly appreciated

Go to this link - https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/1969-Dodge-TSB-Index.shtml

Then drop down to TSB (No.D69-23-18 in the menu)  about the sunroof, it is 19 pages long and it should help?

Are you going to share the solution ?

The headliner cover goes in the lower channel. The interior cover should be in line at the edge of the outer steel lid. It clips in all along the front and should be flush with the outer steel panel.
I am guessing the headliner is glued to the front of the slider cover and you haven't pushed the cover all the way back. The new headliner can stop the cover from sliding all the way back, therefore jamming the lid at the front and not allowing it to go all the way forward and lift at the back. There are 2 self tapping screws at the front that hold and line up the inner headliner cover.
