Saved a 1970 Charger 500 in Southern Pennsylvania

So this '70 Charger 500 has been sitting in my local area for a long long time, and there's been so much rumored about the car, and it's options, history, and ownership. This car sat in New Freedom, Pennsylvania, not far from the town of Shrewsbury, and has been known by almost every local...

The gentleman that had it sitting bought the car Brand New from either S&S Dodge in Towson, Maryland, or Smith Motor Company in White Marsh, Maryland. It is a factory Tan Poly, Tan Vinyl interior, gator grain, 383 HP 4bbl followed by a 727 Automatic Transmission. I was told by many locals, and friends who have talked to the man in the past that this was his pride and joy, and hoped to restore it one day. He used to race it, and raise hell back in the day with the car, and just overall had fun, while making countless memories with the car. He was very attached to it, which is shocking knowing that it is now mine. Township got on him about it sitting up against the road with no tags, and ordered it to be moved. He didn't move it, and ended up selling it to a friend of mine who has been tracking his Roadrunner that sat outback for years. He sold him both the charger, and the 69 roadrunner outback. I ran into my buddy and talked about the car, and he sold it to me right after.

I still have to go back to the gentleman's house with my buddy to get some parts that are stashed inside the garage for the car, and I plan on doing a complete restoration and bringing it back to factory. This car may be rough, but has lots of potential. I'm only 19 years old, and I've always been around working on cars, but this one is the one I'm most excited about. It's odd that I, a Nash/Rambler guy has such a love for B Body mopars, especially the second gem chargers.

If it has the grille and taillight finish panel, you are way ahead. Those can be expensive to find.
