Wow, the vinyl top moldings are almost identical to those on my car.  And based on the VINs they were likely built within a day of each other.  217160 and 217195.

Editorial comment: I still have the broadcast sheet for 217190, awaiting the current owner to contact me.  It was in my back seat.

Hope all is well.

This 1969 500, is it For Sale? If so, what is the asking price?

We thought the Charger 500 was a 1969 model. According to the sales flyer, this is a 1970 Charger 500; it hasn't anything to do with NASCAR. The original Charger 500 preceded the 69 Daytona and was a 1969 Model. If this is a 1970, we doubt it has the same value as a 1969 Charger 500.

The VIN indicates 1969 so the sales flyer is in error.

We see lots of rust, incorrect radiator, Seats w/o head rests, Fender tag disaster, Non matching #'s, etc.

This is a big project that we doubt will return the cost of restoration. Not knowing the asking price makes it even more iffy.

It has Indiana plates on it indicating it has had a lot of salt exposure. That being the case there is a potential for hidden salt damage. We wouldn't touch it unless it were free, and that's a stretch.

The exhaust pipes and fuel tank look nice.

With today's crazy prices, it wouldn't surprise us it went for $75K; a lot to pay for a new non stock exhaust and new fuel tank.

No offense intended; just don't see much value in it for anything other than a parts car . . . .  and not a good one at that.

 needs lot of  work wont be cheap to restore it , be ok if you can do all the work your self,
if i was 30 years younger  would have bought this by now  
what ever the asking price is  everything is over priced to me today ,
i'm stuck in the 80s price wise  with the value of these cars  
still they are not making these anymore & already our cars are more than half a century old  
 Good luck to the Seller & Buyer , as long as both are happy  

think the seller has just put that exhaust on & got it kind of mechanicaly reliable , makes for a better advert running & drivable etc ,
that  E series  HP 440  think came out of a C-Body  originally

The seller is fifteen miles from where I live. They had a '70 Coronet R/T in similar shape not long ago.
