I have my cluster out of my car because of electrical problem I'm trying to figure out.

How to i bench test my AMP gauge to make sure it's working properly?  Please explain it in laymans terms because I suck at electrical.  Post pictures of how if you feel it may help.  Thank You

Battery and a head light bulb. Run one wire from battery to bulb directly and the other one through the amp meter.

might take more than one headlight to make a significant needle movement on the ammeter gauge

Jus in case... if headlights are relay feeded from the batt, the needle won't move
