superbird 956 rad question

Ok so. what is that other number on the top tank of the rad for? I know the 956 one is the part number. But what does the other one mean? thanks r

In addition to the stamped number on the top, there should be some numbers stamped on the mounting flange which represents the radiator's date of manufacture.  If you cannot see the date stamp with the radiator installed, it's possible that the code was stamped on the surface which faces the radiator yoke.  That was the case with my 1969 055 radiator.  For those, you would have to pull the radiator to read the date code.
