Yes, it was in my price ball park.  I was not at the auction, a decision I regret.   A phone bid adds about 20%.  125k + 20% + transport costs + taxes and registration = roughly 165k.    In my opinion, that's too much for that car.  Subtract 20% and it's more palatable.    "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride!"  It's a shame too because I think I'd look good in a dress!!   I have to make jokes or I'll cry!!!

Don't really know what to say; a missed opportunity?

In our opinion, the Daytona went for a lot more than it should have. This tells us that a really good Daytona should hit $2mil. There are two we are aware of. The next big BJ in Scottsdale will be interesting. Think spring 2023.

If the economy tanks; cash still exists; you still have yours; you might have one more shot.

You seem to be against a clone; that may be most everyone's only alternative in the near future. We have heard someone is making 69 Daytona bodies to put on the new Daytona Mopar is building and the warranty stays intact. Haven't seen it or read about it, only heard about it. No idea what the total cost is.

Not sure we recognize what portion of the Bird that photo is showing. Whatever it is, looks like it was done by real "Crapsman." It went cheap enough the buyer, if talented, may be able to correct the flaws themselves or pay to have it restored correctly. Maybe they will clean it up and take it to BJ in the spring. This is only speculation as we don't know enough about the car nor anything about the buyer.

Yes, it is the front edge of the hood extension.     It should look like this.

yeah im thinking  Cheap fiberglass nose, fender extensions ( valance )  and hood extension    explaining the whole shitty front end .  front end hit at sometime and replaced with sub par parts .
