For sale $130K at Harwood Motors  - R4 / white - 440 4psd.  Had a hemi at one time.

Description from FB page :

New Arrival Friday and we've got two awesome cars to bring you. First up is this fantastic 1969 Dodge Charger 500. Formerly owned by NASCAR legend Ray Evernham, it offers a 440 cubic inch V8, a 4-speed, and a great color combination. The Charger 500 was a half-step towards the wing cars (Daytona and Superbird), putting Dodge back in the winner's circle with improved aero. Only 580 were built to satisfy NASCAR's 500 car production rule, and fewer than 1/3 of those had a 4-speed. With great documentation, a show-quality restoration, and a cool story, this is the one to own. Available now for $129,900!

Result from Auburn Auction 2018:

Sean

What are your thoughts on this car and the price?

WINGIN IT

Seems a bit pricey for a car with at least a non matching engine.
Great color combo, but no idea of what the car was like before it was restored.

Hopefully someone here can shed some light on its history, that's why I posted it.  ;)

I think it's a great price if a real 500

I wish I could agree, but a 440 '69 500 just doesnt fetch that kinda of money, even a 4 speed.

I tend to agree that this seems overpriced. That said it's a crazy market out there lately, so who knows.

Be some nice profit with it going for under 80k in 2018.  :yesnod: But based on what a lot of other stuff is suddenly going for, 440 Birds at over 200K for example, it might sell pretty quick.

REALLY?? if I didn't have my '70 and '72 Rallye I'd buy it

hemi68charger

Overpriced for a car that, in terms of details, has many incorrect items; i.e ECU box on the firewall, wrong ballast resistor, wrong interior a-pillar molding (come on, white? really?).........

Very cool car nonetheless and the 4speed aspect of it is cool....

No one is going to mention the black paint in the trunk? The wrong bolts holding fenders on under the hood? The car has flaws and issues. Is it a good color combination, yes. Will that help it in selling price? possibly. I will once again be up at that auction. I highly doubt the car will bring anything spectacular as far as pricing goes, but I would guess between $90-95k.

WINGIN IT

Is it going up for auction again?
The original ad was a Facebook post for $129K.

RallyeMike

Most of the noted flaws can be easily corrected. The one that really bugs me is the 500 grill-fender trim pieces painted R4. When you see obvious issue like this it makes you want to have a close and personal inspection before jumping in with big dollars.

Prices seem kind of volatile right now, so it will be an interesting data point.

Hi Folks,                            26 March 2022

Looks right nice. "Period Correct" 440? It ain't a Hemi and it's not an original 440, flaws noted. Who restored it? For certain not a Roger restoration.

Yes the market is whacko at the moment. How whacko will be determined at the auction.

Let's face it, INFLATION is in full swing; just hasn't finished swinging. Wait till Brandon's digital currency goes into affect; no more cash.

Best Always

You must of missed my Post above where I mentioned the Trunk. From my experience Restoring cars, This Trunk will not be easy or cheap to Correct/Fix. LEON.

A few of the issues got fixed, some remain.   Nice color combo.  Lots of pics in their description

anywhere near the asking price, and it would have to be the most expensive 440 '69 500 sold yet !

The  C500 is still a very under valued Charger after all these years!

R/T's are fetching nearly 100K but a piece of NASCAR racing history is struggling to find the same figures, go figure?

Even now after 50+ years of info on the Aero cars of Dodge and Plymouth, folks are still 'none the wiser'...

Stick a wing on and the prices will soar lol...
