Back when building my junk I modified the detents on the shifter, it works positive stops for shifting, it works awesome. sifting from 1st to 2nd push the handle forward, it locks in second, push the button on top of shifter handle holding it down shift to 3rd it locks in third, let go of the button & shift to neutral & it wont go anyfurther until you push the button again On my video I miss spoke about the stock shifter would go from neutral to reverse without pushing the button, I was wrong about that, but Y'all should get the idea.
I also converted it to a cable, but this should work with the factory linkage,

Nice work! I have the opposite on mine.    I have a Reverse manual VB

In the normal shifter "D" is my first gear.    So for me the 1-2 shift is down from there with no button press needed.  Positive lock into second.   Button press needed to shift down to third.
Full ratchet back up to first with no button press needed.  Positive lock out to neutral (requires button press)

I was the test mule for Duncan Motor Sports when they were making these.
I made the custom decal

Yikes!! I see they raised the price of this considerably!  I got mine for free but I believe Duncan was getting $25-30 ...
