Thanks for stopping by, I have a question about a rocker switch for my treadmill. The original switch I removed
Is a:   16A/250v ac 1 hp
          20A/125v ac 3/4 hp       
The switch I received from the manufacturer is a:
           16A/250v
           10A/250v
           16Gp250v
           1/4 Gp hp125v
           3/4 Gp hp250v
The treadmill is on a 20A breaker by itself my concern is the original switch has a 20A/125v and the new one 10A/250v on the original
the A are higher 20 but the v are lower 125 the new one the A are lower 10 but the v are higher 250   
also the hp's are lower on the new one.
Seems like the new one isn't compatible or am I wrong?

Power = current x voltage

2500W = 10A x 250v

2500W = 20A x 125V

The wattage is the same and that's what counts. I'm no sparkie but I would be comfortable using that switch.

Hmm.  I think I would have questioned the manufacturer on that one.  I have no idea what kind of load your treadmill is considered but there is a world of difference between a resistive load and an inductive load.  For these two switches the important rating that I see is the horsepower rating.

250v ac 1 hp
125v ac 3/4 hp
     
3/4 Gp hp250v
1/4 Gp hp125v

They definitely do not have the same horsepower rating.

That was my concern but I had so much trouble contacting and receiving the switch from the manufacturer is
why I posted it here, however I did install it, snapped right in a perfect fit without issues doesn't run hot or anything.
It's a commercial treadmill three months old so I wanted to make sure. So far so good and it's been weeks already.
