I purchased QA1 Adjustable Shocks for my 1968 Dodge Charger and even with the softest setting they are HARSH.  Any recommendations for a better quality ride?  Not looking to race.  Figured the Adjustable shocks would give me enough adjustment but they are just too hard for me.  Need more of a cruising shock and adjustment for a little firmer if I wanted.

Thanks

Really?  I have two sets, and they work great.  I set the lowered Charger firmer, and the stock height one softer, and they are still several notches from full soft or hard.  They both have 1.06" torsions, and it's still like riding on a cloud.

I installed Bilsteins last spring. I couldn't believe how much better the ride was compared to the Monroe shocks. I'm very happy with the ride.

Turn the adjuster knob the other direction & drive it see what it does,

I have same shocks and I ride pretty decent. If you go too soft on either compression or rebound it will travel too fast hitting bump stops l. Also depends what's torsion bars you have. Softer rate can run stiffer compression but softer rebound. Stiff rate needs softer compression and stiffer rebound

Are they single or double adjustable?  Even with 1.06 torsions, I can easily bounce the car at the softest setting, and it gets noticeably stiffer with each click, till I can't move the car at all by about half way in the front.  What do yours do?

Yeah, look out for the bumpstop thing if your front end (torsion bar) height is set low and/or the torsion bars are soft.  Softer shocks may just be allowing you to whack the bumpstops harder.

Bilsteins for me with PST torsion bars. The difference is night and day.
