dont normally pull appart other cars etc . many people have their own way of doing things if your not  doing or atempting to do something the correct way
wonder why though  someone has  run the heater hose to the water valve  inlet  & capped the out let , then  capped the inlet on the heater core & still connected the out let hose  :scratchchin: why not just by pass the water valve , / heater core or  connect it propperly  :scratchchin:    :shruggy:

that's defiantly not going to give any heat to the interior of the car......unless that is what he has intended for it to do

It's probably just a pure mistake.  Some non-Mopar-guy was probably assembling underhood stuff for the sale pics.

I am assuming here, but i would say he wants to stop the hot water from circulating, but at the same time keeping liquid in the heater core to keep it from rusting out and giving the impression of things being all in place. i probably would have just installed a shut off valve. :shruggy:

also....if the heater hose that is connected to the shut off valve was connected to the other nipple on the heater core....there would be no way to shut off the heat inside the car

Just waiting for someone to sell a good moulded reproduction hose that doesn't kink...

XP car with what appears to be non original drive train.

I would not have painted it the original beige either.
