Julius got paid for the car, built just as the new owner wanted it...  apparently just looked to turn it after he took delivery of the car a couple of weeks ago.

OK I remember him. Is he still around?

I believe so.. He's been ill, but haven't heard from him in a while when I reached out to him... I pray he's staple and just off the radar.........

The car is very nice and I appreciated the work gone into it. But I don't get the hype about 1 of 5. J code and paying over 6 figures for that car. Will a 318 windshield washer bottle fit on that car? :pity:

Always what they do with high dollar cars... find a high bidder and make a deal off of Ebay to avoid fees.

At one time in the late 70's early 80's when I first met Allen he had several if not most of his cars at his parents place in should I say southern Texas. I remember walking around looking at them with Allen by flashlight at like 1AM one night. Then years later he told me a story of a couple of guys coming to the home place to look at cars with the intention of buying. Story goes as close as I can remember they asked Allen's mother when she came to the door if the "old black Charger" was for sale or what would she take for it. Obviously downplaying the cars real credentials. Her reply I was told was "Oh you talking about the triple black 68 Hemi Charger"     Conversation probably ended there I'm sure. Allen loved this car I think it was one of his 2 or 3 favorites.

What do you think this car sold for?

Thanks Troy.  Good point, you are probably correct.  I was just curious to see what it would be worth.  Very nice car.

Congratulations on your recent purchase.

I'd be curious to see what this car does sell for. To me, this is a Holy Grail Charger. One of 4 or 5 that I'd have to have should I ever have the means necessary to acquire any of them at all. A triple black '68 is highly prized for all us Bullitt fans, add the Hemi and a top-notch restoration - what more could you really ask for?

All that said, I too hope Allen is doing well. A Mopar guy through and through...
