I realize most if not all football fans already heard this news.  But he is one of those guys I grew up knowing who he was, and I really loved his commenting football over the years. Even the boring games were fun to watch when John was announcing the game. I did my share also of playing Madden Football games. Anyway, thought I would share a fond memory of John Madden that a lot of us remember. Rest In Peace John...

He stated the obvious and the super obvious....but he was  a smart and entertaining broadcast presence.

When he played/coached that's when the NFL was the NFL.
