Window stickers @ car shows?

Just a quick question for you guys....

Should I take the body shop's sticker off the rear window of our Charger before going to the shows? Just wondering if the sticker is kinda cheesey.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT/OPINIONS...MUCH APPRECIATED GUYS!!

Personally, I don't think it's cheesy, & being on the window & not somewhere on the paint/body, I don't think it matters much with judging. (I never judged, so I don't know for sure.) If you like it, leave it there & don't worry about what anyone thinks. I never worried about the 1970 GTX nose on my 1969 Satellite. :D

If you like it leave it, it's your car.  If you are really worried about judging ask one of the judges what he thinks but be aware Judging is different from show to show.  Often it is more of a who you know than how well you show.  Most people at shows just go to BS with people that have like interest and the poor judging just gives us something to bitch about.

This is the same shop that ruined your dash pad and steering wheel and lost numerous parts?

I prefer the clean look, without stickers, but that's just my opinion.

I don't like stickers either. If you have a show board then giving the shop credit that did the work is nice.

Chicos.... :-\

Personally, Id take a razo blade to that one. Now if it were the dodge bee decals on the side windows...those would stay.

But like everyone else has stated. it's your car. do what you want.

The Ghoul

If your happy with the work they did and you don't mind people snubbing you for not doing the work your self .. leave it.
I could easily see a judge looking extra hard for flaws if he catches that the sticker is from a body shop. That is if you get a judge that feels this should be a 'do it your self' hobby and not a 'have some one do it for me'.
I personally, even if they did a heck of a job, hate shops putting stickers on my car, or people sending me stickers for my car. If you want me to promote you so badly pay me for the space.
I will however sport stickers of peoples companies that went above an beyond for me, Rocpar and that's about it for now.

As it is now this is where all the freebies go

To a point, right? Please don't turn it into a four wheel drive with big whip antennas and a rainbow paint job. If one sticker is as cheesy as it gets I'm happy.

AKcharger

Too big and Gaudy. Get ride of it...or ad an "oogah horn"

Put it in your book or show board if they did a good job

moparguy01

on my old cars I wont put any stickers. with the exception of the charger fever.com sticker i have, which is real small.

but its your car, if you like it on there, keep it. but i think of stickers for someones business as free advertising. if I dont know the owner personally and he's a friend of mine, or its a place that I own, they better be paying rent for that space.

Chris G.

That sticker doesn't even look real. Almost reminds me of those Lounge Lizard type stickers. I would lose that sticker real quick.  :Twocents:

I don't like it either.
I'd keep it if the shop gave me a REALLY good deal in exchange for their advertising space.

Hi Charger Lady, how you doing:

I personally don't want any stickers on my car, but it is all a matter of personal preference.  If you like them, keep them, If you question whether they should be there, probably best to get rid of them.

As for judging...sure it would be cool to be judged the 'best of...' but we're just looking forward to getting out and meeting some other Charger owners...and show off of course...hahaha
As far as I'm concerned she is our best Charger and thats all that matters...LOL...she's our only Charger

Hi 19Charger68 and WELCOME to the charger forum...I'm doing great and you?. Thanks for commenting here. I was really leaning to removing the sticker with everyones comments (& Shakey's reminder) but it was your last statment that did it for me. If I'm asking then do I really want it there...NO WAY!!!!!!
IT'S COMING OFF IN TIME FOR THE MISSISSAUGA SPRING FLING THIS WEEKEND!!

Thank you everyone you were a great help...and to those that are going to the spring fling this weekend...see you there...we'll be the 69 Hemi Orange Charger SE without Chico's Custom Shop window sticker...LOL (even funnier...I hope he doesn't notice it missing when he comes to the show...hahaha)
