Anybody with H.D. leafsprings 795 / 965 on the broadcast sheet actually have those springs on their car?   I have a Dec '67 built 68 R/T with 795/965 called out on buildsheet (just like I've seen on all other pre-Jan '68 built cars).  But, my springs are date coded 1st week Dec., and they are 794/964.   I believe they are original to the car.

So, just curious if anyone does have the earlier stampings on their Mopar.

Thanks.

This may be like several other parts Mopar produced. The casting or stamping number on the part is not the actual part number. They had a casting number while it was in rough form and after machining, it got a part number. I'm pretty sure the leaf springs follow that scenario.

On all the mopars i've ever owned, including the 2 i currently have, the build codes on the broadcast sheet always match the actual part number stamped on parts.  Ex.,  torsion bars on sheet.  780 and 781.  Bars are actually stamped 780 and 781.   The build sheet build numbers are diff than parts book numbers , where they are listed one digit off.  Thx for your reply.
