That's one heck of a project. I bet there wouldn't be much of that original car left once you replace all of the necessary metal...

Would be cool to recreate the bicentennial paint job, I've come to appreciate (most) of these '70s paint jobs.

I think mine looked better than this one but probably close o the same amount of work to restore, so if I had it in my driveway, I might start work on it, and everybody knows how those kind of projects go, never-ending... :eek2:

I so agree Birdflu!  :2thumbs: My neighbor still refers to this as The United States! I refer to it as America the states have NOT BEEN UNITED for 30 + years. But there are people out there that would restore a car like that. There so hard to come by now. I dont think I would after my 68. I have never replaced so much sheet metal on a car as I did that one. And I love the paint scheme! It brings back memories of a much better time!
