It does have the red, white & blue door emblems. It's such a shame that it needs everything.

I wonder what caused this.....aliens?

It may be a good one to fix mechanically and drive while you gathered parts.

Slide down ash tray in the dash and the other style of tail light mounts make it an early 68 car ?
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

Thanks for posting this tan top, I've been trying to find pictures of 68s with the emblems ever since somebody mentioned them on MoParts. Must have been a holdover from 1967 and then Dodge decided to just drop it.

:yesnod:  shame it needs everything , ok  if you can do the work your self
seen paint cracking & opening up similar to this , well not in that Alien hand print pattern !  when there is too much material on the panel  either primer , top coat , poorly applied skin coat of filler or all ! with time it shrinks back  & cracks  sun weather accelerates it .see a lot on hoods that have shapes depressions  by  design , engine heat  , sun  many layers ( microns ) of material will eventually crack & open up  etc

would be a good one to restore for the right price , if you cant do the work your self it wont be cheap

  :2thumbs:
while this is a August first  1967 SPD  & has all the early 67 build parts that i / we can see

small fuel filler opening & seal  trunk floor
red white blue charger door emblems
chrome map pocket square buttons
steering wheel
heater controls
extra rear tail lamp panel supports
skeleton inner deck lid frame
round cold air vent knobs
bent wire glove box latch , although i cant remember if this was the later superseded part  & the early one was the cast latch with spring loaded bar thingy or  other way round  :P
side ways arrows or the sail panels !  but  with this car having had body work before  whos to say they were not  put on by a previous owner  , doubt it but you never know !
there is a web page on flicker i think it was ,  where a unrestored turquoise 68 charger R/T  had the side way arrow on the sail panels ! &  there was NO doubt  the car was un messed with before the restoration, i posted the link somewhere on here or the old site showing this chargers restoration , below is picture i saved of the side ways arrow  :yesnod:

Paint code is JJ1 medium gold poly.    Appears to have been repainted 69 T5 copper poly but since it needs quarter panel repair that doesn't matter.

It's a project but appears to have some good parts left in it.  Good luck.

Always blaming the Wife, when in reality he's realized that he bought a project he doesn't have the funds or skills to restore.

I think the build date was October 67 ~ I had this on file from an earlier project -

The next 3 digits tell us the "birthday" of the car. The first of the 3 is the month....A = October, B = November, C = December, if there is a number for the first digit, than that is the month, 1 = January, 2 = February, etc..... the second 2 tell us the day of the month the car was scheduled to be completed. [/b]

Interesting the seats had the head rests ~ maybe done at a later date.
