Will this clutch work ?

Ill have 650 700 hp. 512 cu.in 440. I have an 18 spline hemi 4spd but i need a good clutch behind this. Will this centerforce unit be good or no? Part# 183-DF071800.

Depends on h0w you drive ,  if you are mean to the clutch nothing will hold up . If you are a mature driver and dont drop clutch or power shift , which you shouldnt need to with that much power , i just let out the clutch and then get into it to avoid losing grip with my 451 in a 3400lb car . Ive had a parts store diaphram type for years, easy engaugement and shifting with light pedal compared to the Mcleod one I had with that type of disk in the pic. I hated that clutch , it was too stiff and was either on or off .

Well to be honest im def going to have fun with it , hot rodding a little bit . Obviously. Thats why we all build this stuff. I just want to make sure its going to hold up if i get a little bit horsey with it. By no means beating the living crap out of it. But im def going to use it hard on occasion, so i want it to hold up. If that makes sense

The product description is awful, but I'm pretty sure I'm using that disc with a McLeod Borg & Beck pressure plate. It seems to work well enough.  You'll be making a good bit more power than I am tho. Are you going to do any racing with it? It might be worthwhile to look into custom clutch

Mcleod RST is what mcleod recommend.  One step up is the RXT. future ref if anyone wanted  to know.. 800+ hp.  Use the RXT, IF it will see alot of track time with big slicks.

I have just a stock stroke 440 and I'm somewhat concerned about my clutch. Being over 600+HP and 600+torque puts you in the big boy league, so I'd want the advice of a pro

The dual friction will not hold up long on slicks behind those power numbers, nor will the trans. Be sure to use an sfi flywheel and scattershield.

I bought everything directly from mcleod. Flywheel pilot bushing throwout bearing clutch. Its what they said will work for what i have. Let hope it does. Like i said tho. It wont see the drag strip with slicks. Just playing on the street on occasion..
