Why oh why do people insist on putting hood scoops on these cars! Can't say I like the wheels or steering wheel either then again I'm not the one who dished out 99k for it.

Most people think most other people built their car wrong.  It's the normal reaction to most things that are customized.

Not judging the concept at all, my point was that there is a LOT done wrong for the 99k sale price

It's a black 2nd-gen, with big shiny wheels, parked in front of an expensive house.  That means it's automatically worth a lot.  Don't you know the rules?

That 68 went for some good money in my eyes.. Seller should be extremely happy.  Don't think it was worth what it sold for, but that is not for me to decide. It needed a lot of work. Grille was even wavy..

Here it is.. Worked the stage at the auction, so pretty much saw every car that went across.

Thanks  ;)

These ads are pretty consistent nowadays.  I guess it's just salesmanship 101 being applied to Chargers.

I think as always.... "marketing" has far more to do with final Sale Prices realized ? than most are willing to accept.
Only wimps wear Bowties !

Back N Black

The underside was not touched, 50 year old rust and under coating. For that kind of money you should be using mirrors to show the bottom.

That's the worst looking Hood Hinge I ever seen, Close up of the paint made the Texture look like more then orange peel but corn on the cob. Looks like Door Jamb Striker ripped out & replaced with big steel replacement piece. Earl Scheib Special. :scratchchin: :shruggy:

100K? Those wheels are heinous, I don't know how I missed the fuel pump on first viewing, and is that an E-body shifter? Lol :drive:

this is not aimed directly at this charger but this type of charger in general !
crazy how much  some of these second generation are selling for !  seems to be a lot of chargers that have been rebuilt / restored customised etc that are quite poor in workman ship / quality & just done for maximum profit ( yes make money on a car your selling no one wants to sell  at a loss etc)  but some of these second generation chargers are perfumed pigs or worse .... not saying this one is ...but  can see lots wrong or could have been done better for the asking price  :Twocents:  seems the norm with un educated ( meaning not sure what to look out for ) buyers  are taken in by a lot of high dollar or big name/ fashionable/ color / parts thrown on a charger thats had a really poor quality body & paint to varying degrees ! & if its up for 99k or bidding goes to 100k or more  it must be good  :scratchchin:  some buyers are just blinded by the shopping list of  parts in said charger when even some of the parts make it look silly or out of place imo although maybe its an age thing with taste & everyone is different ! certain age group would prolly say whats up with this guy  :coocoo: living in the past with 15 inch wheels & stock gauges & a trio of SW mechanical gauges for back up & a stock S81 wheel & manual drums & stock Am radio :P if they looked at mine
guess if the buyer is happy  thats all that matters !

Did you see the Victor intake? There is no way a stock hood could clear the air cleaner.

Mytur Binsdirti

Without a doubt, THIS is THE BEST resto-mod Charger, bar none.

I dont comment very often about things on here. And to each there own but to me when you change the look of the dash and put different seats and start changing the look of the car it is no longer a 68 charger. Most of us have or want a 68 charger for what they were when they were new. The look they had at the time. If I were to spend that kind of money I would want a 68 charger not someones rendition of one. Either way that is a lot of coin!  :Twocents:
