PUI interiors. Anybody else used them?

I`ve been installing new PUI front and rear covers into one of my 72 Chargers. I am installing 71 RR black/orange covers.   Right now I`m kind of ticked off with them. The front lowers went on okay. The top sections do not have provisions (on backside of cover) to hog ring and to pull the vinyl tight at the lower area of headrest. The originals i took off did. I didnt really pay attention to that at first and proceeded to install them. As a result the head rest looks loose. At first i was going to let this slide because they still looked good.
Then i got to doing the rear seat upper section.

The top rear looks like crap. It went on too easy as compared with similiar Legendary covers that i used years ago. Once hog ringed its got loose spots through out it, especially in the panels above the orange pleats. At this point, I am going to step away from them for a few days and then see if i can get them to look a bit better.

Has anyone else used PUI covers and how well did they fit?

I used PUI covers (thru yearone). They fitted ok, rear seat covers were a little tight, but look pretty good now, the front covers are pretty good, but a little loose at the top. I had an upholsterer fit them. Biggest thing I was disappointed about was the color.

I've bought a set of PUIs for my '69.  They aren't installed yet, but they appear to be nicely done just looking at the stitching & stuff.

And compared to the surviving vinyl on my car's original seats (color: "Saddle Tan"), the color match of the PUIs was closer than the Legendary stuff I've seen.

I have PUI's on my front seats and I love them. The tops on mine were a little baggy, but I chaulked that up to reusing old foams. They are very soft and pliable. I now hate the stock rear cover as it is stiff and hard compared the PUI's. I love the color too (I have saddle tan). They match the factory door pads exactly.

Here is a couple pics. The look is exaggerated because I`ve started to pull hog rings off but the saggy areas dont improve much. I may try to install a 1/4 or 1/2 inch sheet of foam across the whole front surface. The upper top seems taut, the whole front surface just doesnt seem to tighten up. I may end up taking them to a local upholstry shop and have them do whatever needs to be done. Its kind of frustrating because when I  pay close to $400 for a set of covers..............I expect them to fit well right out of the box. The panels above the orange pleats just
seem to be made too big.

Here is a pic of a front cover. not bad but the lower area of the headrest is loose. The reason being, on a OEM cover, where the top of the orange meets the black-at base of headrest area, on the backside where the two materials are stiched together there is additional fabric encasing a  metal rod that get anchored with rings to pull area in. PUI just stitches the stuff together, leaves no provisions to reuse your old rod or anchor this area as needed.

I have a question. Aren't your 69 seats supposed to have 2 buttons on the seat bottom and 2 on the seat back? My originals did, and my Legendarys repo's do as well.

Here is some pics of the other ones i recovered about 10 years ago. These covers were made by Legendary and their fit is much much better.
I`ve pretty much come to the conclusion that the quality of this set of covers from PUI is vastly inferior to the Legendary product that i bought 10 years ago. .

They came with buttons in a baggy you could add if you want them, but I didn't add them as they like to splt on buttons. I could have added them and been correct, but decided to leave them off.

As far as quality. I would buy another set of PUI's in a heartbeat.

MOPARHOUND!

The PUI's I bought for a 69 Charger were a nightmare.  Missewn off center, so wouldn't go on straight.  No listing wire looms - meaning no seat contour.  Inferior material.  Returned them and got my money back.

4 sets of Legendary were all top notch.
